My wife and I loved staying at the Ludo apartment at Casa Arioli. It was spacious, comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious enough for a couple to use simultaneously and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect for reaching virtually any destination in Rome. The Coliseum is just a couple of blocks away and popular sites such as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Pantheon aren’t much further. There’s a great grocery store a block away that has all the typical grocery items you might need and a wide selection of wines and digestifs. Within walking distance, you will also find great restaurants, cafés, pastries & gelato and great place for porchetta sandwiches. The neighborhood is quite lively at night, but never were we disrupted by any noise. Alessandra, the owner of this property, is a gracious host. She was warm, friendly and accommodating. She helped arrange our transfer from Fiumicino Airport and provided us with a useful list of local stores. The apartment had basic supplies such as coffee and tea and there was a lovely basket of fruit and snacks in the kitchen when we arrived. Alessandra invited us to her flat for drinks and introduced us to a good friend, who was kind enough to take us out one day for a look at Rome from the perspective of a local. We enjoyed dinner with Alessandra and her friends a couple of times and left with tears as we said goodbye to new friends. We can’t wait to return to Rome and when we do, we we look forward to see our new friends and staying at Casa Arioli. If you are looking to stay in Rome in style and comfort, without paying hotel prices, you should book one of the apartments at Casa Arioli.

We came for the second time to Rome in apartment Ceci .We like the quietness of the apartment although it is situated in a lively neighborhood. We enjoyed very much this part of Rome with lots of small shops and restaurants. We miss it already...

My husband and I stayed for a week this May in Ludo Flat and it was perfect in every way. It far exceeded our expectations! Alessandra is our new Roman friend and we look forward to our next visit to be together again. The location is ideal - safe, convenient, so close to the Metro, Forum, Coliseum, shops of all kinds, restaurants, and in a perfect Roman neighborhood! We felt like natives within a day. It is such a lovely, well-equipped and beautifully decorated flat! Perfect place for two and has everything you can imagine. Alessandra provides breakfast each morning in her vacant studio right next to our flat and was a perfect way to start our day! She provides so much information and worth her weight in gold asking questions each morning and sharing your experiences from the day before. She is equally as excited about you seeing Rome as you are and never seems to get tired of questions or stories you want to share with her. She will also arrange a car service for a reasonable fee to pick you up and take you back to the airport. This was a welcomed perk after a long journey to a new place. We were also spoiled with some extra’s that we didn’t anticipate which made us feel like family but I don’t want to mentioned them since they do not happen each week. Please trust me we felt like family by the time we left Alessandra and Casa Arioli. We saw both flats while we were there and would stay at either one in the future. She achieves perfection with her knowledge of Roman and a wealth of information. She tells you about the unknown sites as well as the major ones. We will certainly return and it’s only a matter of time! You will not regret renting from Alessandra at Casa Arioli!!! Alessandra we miss you soooooo much!!!

Beautiful, clean apartment in the heart of Ancient Rome. Walking distance to most attractions and very close to metro. Everything as described. Lovely hostess eager to ensure you have a memorable stay. Would definitely rebook if returning to Rome.

We had great holidays in Rome in february in this very beautiful, modern and exquisite apartment "Ludo" with a very nice kitchen, a fantastic bath- and bedroom. We loved Alessandras wonderful croissants in the morning and her warm and friendly personality. She gave us a lot of helpful information about Rome, informed us what was interesting to visit and helped us to park our car near the apartment for free. The apartment is located near the colosseum and in walking distance to all of the other attractions in Rome. In the near of the apartment you can find a supermarket, which offers everything you need, delicate take away pizza and very good ice cream shops and a lot of good restaurants and nice pubs. We are sure that you can find no better place to stay in Rome! Thanks a lot, Alessandra, for this magnificent and wonderful stay! We are sure that we will come back as soon as possible! All the best! See you soon, grazie mille, ciao, Corinna and Lutz, Germany

We stayed at the Ludo apartment during our first visit to Rome in June 2013 and will definitively return with our whole family again. To make a long story short: this is absolutely the best place to stay in Rome if you want luxury and personalized service at an affordable price. Being frequent travellers and used to four and five stars hotels around North America and Europe, my husband and I were initially a bit hesitant to stay at an apartment as we already had a depressing experience during the same trip at a different city. We were however quickly surprised by the wonderful choice we made by choosing Casa Arioli: located in the best possible spot, the apartment is within walking distance to public transportation, shopping, fine dining and touristic sites. The apartment itself is beautifully renovated, immaculate clean, quiet, bright, spacious, meticulously decorated and with a charm only found in an upscale residence. As assured by other visitors before me, the best and most precious advantage of this place is however its hostess Alessandra. She will make you feel at home, guide you, assist you and give you wonderful tips to better enjoy your visit. She's a thousand times more caring and insightful that any concierge we ever met at a hotel. Aside from the heavenly pastries and delicious coffee served daily at breakfast, you can count daily on Alessandra for guidance and logistic support to make your visit to Rome the best possible experience. We highly recommend Casa Arioli and hope to return soon!

Our stay in "Ludo" was everything we could have hoped for. Alessandra was a brilliant hostess who provided a lovely breakfast each morning as well as lots of local information and advice on place to visit. The apartment was comfortable, clean and modern with everything we needed for our stay. Within walking distance of many attractions including the Colosseum and Forum and close to many friendly bars, restaurants and a good supermarket. This apartment is excellent value for money and we are already planning our return.

Dear Alessandra, Thank you so much for your hospitality on our recent trip to Rome! I can't say enough good things about our experience and it was a joy to meet and get to know you. The apartment was beyond what I expected and so beautifully decorated! The central location made it so easy to get around on foot to all of Rome's "Must See" attractions. You were such a gracious host, even going out of your way to arrange a driver upon our arrival at the airport given our late arrival. I looked forward to our breakfasts with you each morning and definitely missed them as we traveled onto our other destinations. I will be sending our friends and family your way! If we make it back to Italy, you'll be seeing us again as well...I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Thank you again for a wonderful stay! Ciao, Chelsie

Had a wonderful stay at Ceci to celebrate my daughter's birthday in August 2013. The accommodation completely lived up to expectations, very high quality and comfortable. A little small but comfortable enough for 2 people, and nice to have the balcony off the bedroom. We missed out on the daily breakfast usually provided as this was Alessandra's own holiday time, but she kindly returned and provided a delicious breakfast for us on one of the days. Her daughter Cecilia did a great job of checking us in and out of the flat, and the driver arranged for us was very helpful and efficient. The location was wonderful, especially for a first visit to Rome - very easy to walk to many attractions by foot, but the Metro station is also very close by. I thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Rome. Thank you Alessandra!

I stayed in this apartment "Ceci" 2 rooms for 4 nights at the end of April. Its really great place to stop near the metro station and really near to Coliseum (really easy by foot). All the area near include a lot of bars/restaurants. Alessandra Arioli is really helpful person and always wants to help and to advise what to see and how to arrive to each place. Each morning prepare us breakfast at the 3rd apartment and its was really great. The apartment was really beautiful include everything that you need in the kitchen. great Bathroom and Great bedroom. The apartment include also great balcony.

I stayed in the "Ludo" apartment for 3 weeks and it indeed was a home away from home for me. The apartment is spacious, comfortable and delightfully furnished with great attention to detail. I loved the clean style of the rooms, the exposed wood beam ceiling, the way the large elegant bathroom was integrated in the open space, the antique pieces of furniture and the enchanting view of the stairs leading up to San Pietro in Vincoli with Michelangelo's Moses. The kitchen is equipped with all things necessary to prepare a nice dinner—the grocery store is just a few steps away. The location of the house couldn't be better: the old Rione Monti with its charming old-time spirit is full of original craftsman shops, small restaurants and cafés. It is a very safe neighbourhood and the streets are full of people even after midnight. The metro station is very close but I could walk practically everywhere which was great. The best thing, however, was the breakfast with Alessandra. A steaming cup of hot cappuccino, home-made cake or still warm "cornetto con cioccolata", fresh fruit and, most of all, the nice chat with Alessandra and her valuable insider tips for where to go, what to see, how to get to places, where to eat—this was the perfect start to a perfect day.

Our stay at Casa Arioli's "Ceci" apartment, between July 5-12, was a particularly pleasant and enriching one. For the duration of our stay Alessandra was both a wonderful host and a helpful guide - often recommending neighborhood restaurants and splendid sites just off the beaten tourist path (e.g. the Church of Saint Peter-in-Chains, which is actually across the street from the apartment & a pilgrim's climb up some stairs - it holds Michelangelo's Moses & a reliquary containing Peter's chains); often equipping us with pamphlets and maps to aid us in our sightseeing. Each morning with Alessandra was special: she provided a simple yet rich breakfast spread (including two cakes she baked, one of which, the ciambellone, was splendid) accompanied by a discussion of the previous day's adventures and those to come. The apartment itself was very clean, beautifully appointed, and quite comfortable for two people. There is a small balcony off of the bedroom, and it was wonderful a place to sit and greet each morning amid the soft bustle of the neighborhood. The apartment is in a great and very safe location: about a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum and less than a block from the Via Cavour Metro stop. Alessandra's Casa Arioli is well run and full of personal touches that will make your stay both memorable and pleasant. I offer two examples in closing. First: we arrived on a Friday afternoon and were informed that breakfast was served in the "Giova" apartment during weekdays only. To our surprise Alessandra had outfitted the fridge with water, milk, juice, a variety of yogurts, and a bowl of fresh fruit; there were also assorted jams and biscotti in the kitchen. A very generous gesture. Second: the morning we checked out of the "Ceci" apartment, Alessandra heard that we never made it to the Aventine Hill during our stay. As we had a few hours to spare, her daughter took us on a quick tour of the Aventine before driving us to the airport (a service well worth arranging with Alessandra). We are both grateful to have met Alessandra and to have stayed at Casa Arioli. The next time we visit Rome, we will be certain to return!

13/7/2013 Marie (Australia)
We booked the Ludo apartment in Rome which was exactly as I hoped. Stylish decor, modern and a wonderful bathroom. Ideally located with no shortage of places to eat. Being so close to the train station was yet another plus. The owner, Alessandra, provided lots of helpful advice on how to make the most of her wonderful city. She was there each morning delivering a great breakfast and ready to answer any questions we had. We did enjoy talking to Alessandra and highly recommend staying at Casa Arioli.

As a first time vacation home renter, I was nervous, but Casa Arioli (the Ceci apartment) was the perfect place for my wife and I to spend 9 nights in Rome. Alessandra was an extremely gracious hostess, provided a fantastic European breakfast each morning, complete with advice on what to do, where to eat, and great conversation. The apartment was extremely secure, centrally located (probably a 4 min walk to the Coliseum and 5 to the Roman Forum). My wife and I (both about 30) walked everywhere in the city, though there are metro options just a few blocks away (about 15 min walk to Termini station). Alessandra facilitated her daughter picking us up at the airport for a reasonable fee, which was great after a long flight. Upon arrival, the room was spotless and charming. It even had a small balcony, great for sharing a bottle of wine. I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends, and if the coins we threw into Trevi Fountain worked, we\'ll be back ourselves and will stay here!

23/6/2013 MARIA ISABEL DURAN (VALENCIA)
We are 4 Spanish friends who have been staying in the Ludo´s apartment for 4 days. The apartment is impeccable, rehabilitated, spacious, clean, with everything you need and very tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom spotless. That is, what we call in Spain "a charming apartment". It is located in a very central area, closed to Cavour´s metro station but you can go walking almost everywhere. The Coliseum and Roman Forum are just 5 minutes walking. About 20 minutes walking to the Trevi´s Fountain and the Pantheon and 30 minutes to the Piazza Navona. We use to have the breakfast in the same building, in the apartment called Giova. Alessandra, the landlady, is lovely. She explained us how to get to all the places we wanted to visit and even gave us worthy recommendations like restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. Thanks to Alessandra we could visit the Vatican Museums without losing time in the queue as she took the tickets online for us. Her daughter took us back to the airport Fuimuccino. Arioli House is a highly recommended site for people who want to visit Rome for a few days. There were only two small problems: it´s not suitable for very elderly or disabled in the legs, as a house is over 150 years old and there is no lift so you have to climb some stairs to the first floor and the second is the noise. Ludo´s apartment overlooks the Salita del Borgia, where there are stairs that connect Cavour street with Leonina Street and there ´s a bar on the corner, so people take advantage of these stairs to stay and have a few drinks. The house is very well isolated (the walls are very thick and double glazed glass is of maximum thickness) so with the windows closed you don’t hear anything, but when are opened, the noise is important. However, at one in the morning the people go and the stairs are empty. The apartment Ceci does not give to the Borgia Salita so has no such a problem. The apartment has air conditioning and heating. If we go back to Rome we will not hesitate to stay at Casa Arioli and enjoy the company of Alessandra and her family.

20/6/2013 Karin and Istvan (Romania)
Our stay in Ludo was more than wonderful. The apartment is very clean, well equipped and has a beautiful design. Everything was perfect not talking about how close it is to mainly everything. Alessandra is very nice and helpful and the breakfast served in Giova was amazing. Her home made cakes were more than delicious :) and I will never forget how beautiful and with how much passiom Alessandra can talk about cooking/baking :). Thank you for everything, if we go back to Rome one day, it is more than sure that we will choose Ludo again. Congratulations and very good luck in the future! Greetings from Karin and Istvan.

We stayed in the Ceci apartment in the Casa Arioli in May 2013. We highly recommend this B&B for many reasons but mainly for its location in Ancient Rome, the comfort of our apartment and our friendly host, Alessandra. The breakfasts are delicious and healthy. We really appreciated our host giving us advice on all the sights to see in Rome and directions on how to get there. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to stay.

8/6/2013 Sabine & Andreas (Germany)
Thank you very much Alessandra for all. We stayed one week (May/June 2013)at Ceci and felt very welcomed and comfortable. The apartment was very nice and clean, also classy arranged and decorated. The bed was that good that we slept every night like on a fluffy cloud. The establishment had everything you needed and the breakfast was very good, every day with several fresh fruits. And specially the home made cake from Alessandra could make addicted ;) Thank you Alessandra for your friendliness and engagement, your good sightseeing tips and special advices, this made it an unforgettable stay for us in Rome. Many greetings from Sabine and Andreas and good luck to you

In May 2013 we stayed at Ludo which is the larger apartment of the Casa Arioli apartments. We can use only superlatives describing our stay, but we don't exaggerate, they are all true. The location is perfect close to many sites as the Coliseum, Forum Romano, Piazza Venezia, Via del Corso the Pantheon and more.... The apartment is very nice and modern, renovated with very good taste and much thought. It's very spacious but intimate, well equipped and very very clean!! Shining clean.(To us it's very important). Above all is Alessandra, the owner of the apartment. A sweet charming soul. We met her at breakfasts which were a feast on its own. She welcomed us with smiles and surprises, changing every day: Variety of fruits, her own baked delicious cakes, croissants, yogurt and jam, juice and coffee. We consulted with her about everything we needed and more. She told us about good restaurants and special places which are not known to tourists and they where splendid. This is why we loved our stay at Casa Arioli. Lena and Albert

20/5/2013 Sandra & Andrea (Germany)
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Arioli and we enjoyed every minute in the apartment Ceci which is so beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. Alessandra, we want to thank you for your wonderful hospitality and friendliness which made our stay to something very special. Casa Arioli will definitely be our first choice whenever we will be back to Rome!

28/4/2013 JAYNE & DAVE GREEN (NOTTINGHAMSHIRE)
Wonderful! Thank you Alessandra - you have everything perfected. We agree with the other comments - booking was quick and reliable, emails responded to quickly, and we had no doubts from the website info. The photo gallery is exactly right. The small foyer area is very bright and welcoming. We stayed in Ludo, which is very spacious for 2 people. Lovely traditional building, but the apartments are renovated to a high standard, with modern fittings. Everything was SPOTLESSLY clean, comfy bed with immaculate white linen. A real home from home. It also felt very secure, with a good door locking system, The location is brilliant - so close to the Metro and Colosseum, but we walked everywhere. The best part was Alessandra's typical Italian warmth and friendliness. Breakfast with her in the next room, Giova, was a joy. Great coffee, fresh pastries etc and sometimes delicious, home-made cake! She really goes the extra mile in recommending where to go and how to get there, and was so pleased when we had enjoyed our day. We also met her lovely son and daughter, who were so friendly and polite. We felt we arrived as guests and left as friends and would recommend Casa Arioli to everyone! Much better than staying in a hotel!

28/1/2013 Mattia e Michele (Milano)

28/11/2012 Andra and Ronald Baatz (United States)
I can’t say enough lovely things about Alessandra and Casa Arioli. She is absolutely reliable. Communication is prompt and she holds to everything she says. The apartment (we stayed in the Ceci) was immaculate and well appointed. It has a wonderful little balcony with a table and two chairs and is very quiet on the inside courtyard. There is not a detail that Alessandra has not thought of right down to the perfect little candies in the central foyer. Alessandra is a very warm, friendly person who genuinely wants you to enjoy your time there. She offers so much more than what we availed ourselves of. She made a special accommodation for us so that we could stay at Casa Arioli on the only days that we could be there. We met her son who greeted us with a big smile and her daughter (who the Ceci apartment was named after) who met us for breakfast in the morning and was ever so charming - genuinely sweet! My husband and I love to walk and found Casa Arioli to be near just about everything. If you are looking for a place to eat, lunch or dinner, make sure to take Alessandra’s advice. To get the same service and accommodations at a hotel or B&B you would have to pay so much more. We would definitely come back and next time, hopefully it will be for a much longer stay. THANK YOU ALESSANDRA! All our best always, Andra and Ronald New York

12/11/2012 George & Linda (Nova Scotia, Canada)
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Arioli immensely. The location was great, the apartment fabulous and Alessandra, bellissimo! We felt that starting our day with Alessandra's breakfast and advice about getting around Rome was a bonus. Coming home after touring or dining out, we enjoyed sitting on our little balcony with a vino rosso. As others have mentioned, Alessandra is proud of "her Roma" and her positive attitude and attention to detail make our stay extra special. I would heartily recommend Casa Arioli.

29/10/2012 Janette Gaunt (United Kingdom)
We stayed in the apartment, 'Ludo' for a week in October and it was absolutely perfect. It was exactly as in the photographs. It was immaculately clean and the bedding was lovely crisp white cotton. The bed was really comfy. The wifi was easily accessed and reliable. The bathroom with the double shower was amazing! Alessandra provided excellent service and the breakfasts (taken in 'Ceci') were amazing. Such a choice of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, hot drinks, juice.... Alessandra gave us loads of local info too. She is so helpful and friendly. You really feel that she wants you to enjoy your time in her city. The apartment is ideally located. We couldn't believe how close we actually were to the Colosseum. The Metro stop is 2 minutes away, but we walked most of the time as we were so close to everything. Our favourite restaurant was Cuoco & Camicia which was very close by. There are loads of restaurants in close proximity. We ate out every night, but the apartment was well equipped if you wished to cook. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone looking for top class, flexible accommodation in Rome.

3/10/2012 Sara (New York)
GRAZIE MILLE ALESSANDRA!!! Anyone and everyone visiting Rome must book their stay in Casa Arioli! When first looking into finding a room, I was concerned with the lack of reviews and assumed it were too good to be true. Each of the apartments are spacious, beautiful and newly renovated by Alessandra herself. Aside from the amazing apartments, the location is UNBEATABLE! You are around the corner from the Colosseum and Roman Forum, as well as steps from the metro Cavour. The surrounding area (Monti) is one of Rome's most charming neighborhoods with incredible vintage shops and great restaurants. But the REAL gem of Casa Arioli is Alessandra herself! She provides a welcome warm enough to make you feel like it is your home during your stay. If you're lucky enough to stay for more than a few days, Alessandra will take you around and show you "the Rome that she loves." I would recommend Casa Arioli to couples, families, anyone really - my mom and I could not have asked for a more perfect stay in Rome!!!

18/9/2012 Christa and Georg (Germany)
Thank you Alessandra. You and your place were the best experience we have ever made in Rome. The apartment is marvelous, quiet and in the middle of the Monti area. You can easely reach all important places (by bus 117 ore metro) ore just enjoy the neighbourhood. With Alessandras help you will find special locations arround. Wish this adress could be a sleeper only for special guests.

17/9/2012 Matteo (Milano)

17/9/2012 Grace & Rodnie (USA)
This was the best decision we made when visiting Rome. Casa Arioli is a modern, spotless, gorgeous set of apartments located a few feet away from a prime metro spot, Via Cavour. It is perfect location for touring the city with wonderful neighborhood restaurants close-by. The hospitality and service were five-star. We will definitely come again and stay at Casa Arioli.

13/9/2012 Núria González (Barcelona)
\"Brand new house, very clean and silent. The owner was very kind with us, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast supperb!!!! Homemade cakes, fresh fruit and cereals. Great experience! Thank you Alessandra.\"

13/9/2012 SSG. Brian & Tracey Cassidy (Fort Bliss Texas)
Upon a whirlwind trip through Europe while stationed overseas, our 1st stop was Rome where we met with Allesandra & her beautiful daughter at Casa Arioli. The arrangement was relatively easy to partake in via email exchanges prior to our arrival. Wire transfer was a bit awkward in that the Rome bank made an error but was resolved quickly & you will pay upwards of a $35 euro fee to secure deposit. The location is ideal just blocks (not walking distance) from the main Termini & directly across the street from the lovely steps to world famous church & as well some of the finest gelato ever. Interior is modern & the more intimate loft in the rear of the condo was very quiet for restful sleeps. Gorgeous breakfast nook with fresh fruit, teas, pastries & morning chats with Allesandra guiding you around the region. If ever we return to Rome which having tossed a coin into the Trevi it is said we will one day, we will definitely stop at Casa again.
